Fishing Points displays tide information and forecasts for fishing including:
- Exact times for high and low tides throughout the day
- Tide height values showing the maximum and minimum sea levels
- Current direction
- Tide stations for your specific location
How to read Tide charts in the app
When you open the Tides section in Fishing Points, you'll see a graph showing:
- Tide height: The vertical axis shows water level height
- Time: The horizontal axis displays time progression
- Tide curve: The line shows rising and falling water levels
- High/Low points: Marked on the curve with exact times and water levels
⚠️ Note: For a quicker overview, you can also check the Tide overview screen, with daily max high and max low values.
To access the Tide overview screen
- Open Tides in your menu
- Tap the list marker symbol in the top-right corner
- Select the date for which you want to see the Tide overview
Changing Tide data location
To view tide information for a different location:
- Open Tides in your menu
- Tap the location marker symbol in the top-right corner
- Select a different location by:
- Tapping on the map
- Using the search bar
- Dragging the marker
- Clicking “Find my current location” via GPS to select a new location
- Tap the top-right button to finish
Tide forecasts with Fishing Points Premium 
While Fishing Points' free plan displays tidal data for the past and same day, the Premium plan offers tide charts and forecasts up to 3 months in advance - perfect for planning the most productive fishing days.
