🔍 What is the Lake depths layer?
This new map layer displays detailed bathymetric data, meaning you can now see lake contours and depth levels (in feet) directly on the map. Whether you're looking for drop-offs, ledges, or deep spots, Lake depths can help you locate the best fishing zones faster and smarter.
How to access
Enabling this feature is easy and takes just a few taps:
- Tap the Map type button in your top-right of the main map screen
- Toggle the Lake depths layer on/off to show/hide them on the map
That’s it! You’re now looking at a detailed map of the lake’s underwater terrain.

Lake depths are a Premium feature only available to users in the U.S., and only in these states and waterbodies:
- Florida (FL)
- Minnesota (MN)
- North Dakota (ND)
- Nebraska (NE)
- New Hampshire (NH)
- Washington (WA)
- Connecticut (CT)
- Michigan (MI)
- Oklahoma (OK)
- Ohio (OH)
- Massachusetts (MA)
- Iowa (IA)
- Illinois (IL)
- Great Lakes
