Incorrect forecast location
Your forecast depends entirely on the forecast location you've set. Users forget to update their forecast location, which may lead to incorrect data being shown. You can check or change it by:
- Opening any forecast in your menu
- Tap the location marker symbol in the top-right corner
- Select a different location by:
- Tapping on the map
- Using the search bar
- Dragging the marker
- Clicking “Find my current location” via GPS to select a new location
- Tap the top-right button to finish
⚠️ Note: Always make sure your forecast location matches where you're actually fishing.
Why is forecast data missing?
We gather weather forecasts from a wide network of trusted global providers. Occasionally, there may be brief technical interruptions, such as server outages or data source issues, that temporarily prevent data from loading in certain areas. These are usually short-lived and resolved quickly.
Why is the forecast not accurate?
While we work with reliable data sources, no weather provider can predict natural conditions with 100% accuracy, especially in remote or rapidly changing environments. Small discrepancies can happen, and while we know this can be frustrating, it’s a natural limitation of weather forecasting technology.
If you continue to notice issues or missing data in a specific location, feel free to contact us at support@fishingpoints.app. We’re here to help and happy to investigate further.
